Master Service Agreement (Terms of Service)

2EC MASTER SERVICE AGREEMENT

Welcome to 2EC. This Master Service Agreement (“Agreement”) governs your access to and use of the 2EC platform, mobile applications, and safety services (the “Platform”). By accessing the Platform, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. EMERGENCY SERVICES LIMITATION & PROFESSIONAL JUDGMENT

2EC is a high-fidelity coordination and accountability tool. Customer acknowledges that the Platform is designed to assist in emergency communication but does not replace the professional judgment of Law Enforcement, First Responders, or School/Institutional Administration. 2EC does not guarantee the prevention of injury, loss of life, or property damage.

2. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY (THE “CRITICAL FAILURE” CLAUSE)

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 2EC disclaims all liability for incidents resulting from:
  • System Outages: Failures in third-party cloud hosting or cellular network connectivity.
  • Hardware Failure: Local hardware issues, including but not limited to disabled location services or depleted device batteries.
  • User Error: Failure by personnel to accurately report status (Safe/Need Assistance) or initiate alerts via the Critical Alert Trigger (CAT) during a crisis.

3. CRITICAL ALERT / DND OVERRIDE ACKNOWLEDGMENT

Users explicitly consent to the Platform’s “Critical Alert Infrastructure,” which allows the application to bypass “Do Not Disturb” (DND) and silent settings on user devices. This override is a core life-safety function. User waives any claims regarding device disturbance or perceived privacy violations resulting from these high-decibel life-safety notifications.

4. ACCEPTABLE USE & ALARM FATIGUE PREVENTION

The Critical Alert Trigger (CAT) and associated high-priority notification functions are strictly reserved for verified life-safety events. Use of these features for non-emergency administrative coordination is a violation of the Acceptable Use Policy and may result in immediate account suspension to protect the integrity of the safety ecosystem.

5. UPTIME & SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENT (SLA)

2EC strives for 99.9% availability of its core reporting engine. However, 2EC is not responsible for latency caused by regional carrier limitations, local signal interference, or the reliance on global cellular pings (typically every 15–30 seconds during active events).
