Privacy Policy
Last Updated: April 8, 2026
At 2EC, we treat safety data with the highest level of forensic integrity. This policy outlines our commitment to data protection for our K-12, Religious, and Enterprise partners.
1. FERPA COMPLIANCE & STUDENT DATA OWNERSHIP
2EC operates as a “School Official” under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). The Customer (School District or Organization) retains 100% ownership of all student and personnel data. 2EC will never sell, lease, or utilize this data for marketing or third-party profiling.
2. THE GEOLOCATION “VAULT” PROTOCOL
Geolocation data is “Locked” and inaccessible to 2EC and Administrators by default. Geolocation services are only unlocked during a verified Critical Alert Trigger (CAT) event. Upon activation, an immutable notification is sent to all affected users confirming that tracking is active for emergency response coordination.
3. BIOMETRIC DATA PROTECTION
2EC utilizes native device biometrics (FaceID/TouchID) to secure the Platform. 2EC does not collect, store, or have access to the actual biometric data; we rely solely on the encrypted “Success/Fail” signal provided by the device’s secure enclave.
4. FORENSIC LEDGER & DATA RETENTION
All timestamps, status changes, and emergency communications are recorded in a non-deletable cloud ledger. To meet the “Defensible Standard of Care” required for post-incident discovery and insurance carrier audits, this data is retained for a period of seven (7) years unless otherwise dictated by state-specific statute.
5. ACTUARIAL & INSURANCE DATA SHARING
Users and Organizations consent to the sharing of anonymized, aggregated (non-PII) response-time data with partner insurance carriers. This data is used solely for the purpose of verifying “Reduced Loss Severity” and facilitating Premium Credits for the organization. No personal identities are ever shared with third parties for this purpose.
