Welcome to 2EC, a communication and safety coordination platform designed for organizations responsible for minors, including schools, youth programs, and community organizations.

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the 2EC mobile application, website, and related services provided by 2EC.

By accessing or using the application and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the application.

Definitions

Application refers to the 2EC mobile application available on iOS and Android devices.

Service refers to the complete platform including the mobile application, admin dashboard, backend infrastructure, and related services.

Organization refers to any school, youth sports program, church, or institution that manages users and communication within the platform.

User refers to any individual accessing the service, including administrators, moderators, staff members, guardians, or students.

Administrator refers to a user with permission to manage users, groups, messaging, and organizational settings within the platform.

Eligibility

Users must be at least 18 years old to create or manage an account directly.

Students or minors may access the service only through an account created or authorized by an organization administrator or guardian.

Organizations are responsible for ensuring that appropriate permissions and parental approvals are obtained when minors are added to the platform.

User Accounts

Accounts may be created through organization invitations, administrator onboarding, or phone number registration.

Users agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and are responsible for any activity that occurs under their account.

Role-Based Access

Access to certain features depends on the role assigned to the user by the organization.

Roles may include Super Administrator, Administrator, Moderator, Member, Guardian, or Student.

Permissions for messaging, user management, group management, and other actions may vary depending on the assigned role.

Administrators control role assignments and permissions within their organization.

Messaging and Communication

The platform allows organizations to send messages, alerts, updates, and notifications to groups or individual users.

Users agree not to use the platform to send harmful, abusive, illegal, or misleading content.

Users must not use the service to distribute spam, unauthorized promotions, or unrelated advertising.

Administrators and moderators may review, approve, edit, or remove content within their organization if necessary.

Emergency and Priority Messaging

Certain alerts may be designated as critical or high priority messages.

These alerts may override muted notification settings in order to ensure urgent messages are received during emergency situations.

Users acknowledge that such alerts are intended to support safety coordination and emergency communication.

Location Services

The application may use device location services during emergency situations or when authorized by the organization.

Location tracking requires user consent and can be disabled through device operating system settings.

Location information is encrypted and is only accessible through secure authorization processes.

The application does not continuously monitor location unless authorized for safety coordination purposes.

Privacy and Data Protection

2EC uses industry standard security measures to protect user data.

These protections include encrypted communication, secure authentication systems, and controlled access to sensitive information.

User Responsibilities

Users agree to use the platform only for lawful and appropriate purposes.

Users must respect the privacy and safety of other users and must follow any organizational policies related to platform usage.

Organizations are responsible for managing their users and ensuring appropriate behavior within the platform.

Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable and uninterrupted service but cannot guarantee continuous availability.

Service interruptions may occur due to maintenance, infrastructure upgrades, technical issues, or security updates.

We reserve the right to modify or temporarily suspend services when necessary to maintain system stability and security.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 2EC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform.

Organizations remain responsible for operational decisions made using the platform and for managing the safety of their members.

Termination of Access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate user access if these Terms are violated, if the platform is misused, or if system security is threatened.

Organizations may also remove users from their organization at any time.

Termination may result in the loss of access to messages, groups, and related information associated with the account.

Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

When updates occur, the revised Terms will be posted on the website and may also be communicated through the application.

Continued use of the platform after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
